1. Fluff. So much. Feathers. Ahhh.
2. Dragons are real now

I had a whole bunch of stories with dragons as a kid, and for a long time I had them be related to dinosaurs just because it seemed to make sense; they were active and endothermic, and many had feathers, so it seemed like the best choice if I was going to treat my dragons as animals that had really evolved. Lo and behold, nature threw me a bone (a few bones really), and it was the best thing. I've made my dragons be aliens that evolved on an earthlike planet in a dimension where magic is real since then, but because of Yi I'm veeeeery tempted to make them avemetatarsalians again...
