Well I mean I support this, wholeheartedly. Not only am I a Dinotopia fan, but it fits a lot better with what we know of the theropod. It's even possible that the first specimen was a female, and had a subdued crest!
However, that's sadly not how taxonomy works. Osborn named it Oviraptor, and Oviraptor it shall remain.
On a related note, who else wants to see the whole "Citipati (or possibly related genus) being called Oviraptor by everyone" thing cleared up? Seriously.

Rinchenia also used to be Oviraptor

Actually, even though Osborn's reasoning in thinking that Oviraptor ate eggs was wrong, there's actually some evidence that it may have eaten eggs after all.

I think they were generalist omnivores (though their eyes probably weren't the best for hunting) so eggs were definitely on the menu.
As for the whole Ovipati/Citiraptor thing I WOULD SERIOUSLY LIKE THAT CLEARED UP though until they find a more complete Oviraptor philoceratops skull, everyone is just going to keep using Citipati.
Unless someone's going to start lumping them all like I saw Greg Paul doing in the newest version of his dinosaur field guide (I can't find it atm but I swear he had things like Nemegtomaia/Rinchenia/someone else with "Citipati" in the middle...)

A Citipati or Rinchenia skull is probably preferable to this:

The real debate is if Egg Mom/Dad/Entity will Steal all of the Egg Children like its name implies
