DK Eyewitness was probably my favorite thing to watch as a child when it came to documentaries, I have such great memories of going to the local library with my mom and picking out as many Eyewitness books and DVDs as my little arms could carry. I was especially fond of, no surprise here, the following two: So what about you guys? What do you all think of Eyewitness? Any favorite episodes/books? Also, needless to say but: OFFICIAL DK EYEWITNESS FAN THREAD raptorcivilization GET IN HERE

This was my CHILDHOOD. I have these two compilations of six Eyewitness books each and I read them without end. I also have two of the dinosaur books (the visual dictionary and the pocket guide) which I also read without end.
They also made educational video games and I played the hell out of them. ESPECIALLY the dinosaur one.

*pan-flutes right on into this thread*
Are we bringing this majesty back from the void?! Hell yes.
I don't own any of the DVDs/VCR tapes (I would rent the VCR tapes from my local library), but I do own the books on cars and dinosaurs. They're hella rad, and I hold them close to my heart.

Sadly the DVDs tend to be ridiculously expensive, at least to the general public.

oh my gosh i remember checking these videos out from the library and then watching them in my mom's car since it had a VHS player. I used to think that opening was the coolest shit ever. i never knew they had educational video games though.

Seconding the yelling about the CD game. Holy cow, now there's a blast from the past!
Strangely, I never actually saw the documentary videos, but I loved checking the books out from the library. Even today I can't help but take a peek inside when I find one :)

I never got to play the game since I didn't know of its existence back in the day but I watched the documentaries relentlessly and, like I mentioned before, the dinosaur one in particular. The little green theropod fella was especially entertaining to little me, Hell, he still is.
Also, because someone mentioned the intro, I present the "COOLEST SHIT EVER" for everyone's viewing pleasure:
Fucking love that intro.

The opening was worth the price of viewing alone

Anyone remember the DK "Dinosaur Hunter" game? I love that game. Still pull it out sometimes, on my windows '98. There's a lot of information in that game.
Plus, the Dilophosaurus had basically the greatest roar ever.

That, that is my childhood. Many, many hours were spent in that virtual museum. I love it to this day.
