Want to go to graduate school?
Well regardless of the discipline you end up studying, my biggest piece of advice is:
Don't have any faith in the administration. None.
Expect to solve all of your problems yourself and expect to handle everything you have to handle on your own or maybe with the aid of your advisor, but, beyond that, nope.
Just. Just a head's up. If that's what you want to do.
(My friend Kim and I are definitely making a parody of "Actual Cannibal Shia LaBeouf" with "Out of the corner of your eye you spot them... ADMINISTRATIVE DIFFICULTIES AT UIC". It's going to be a smash hit. Just wait.)
I will say this: It does grow your character, your independence, and your general ability to "adult"...
