So for some strange reason there is a fifth Ice Age movie in the works. I'll admit I liked the first one and its use of the more obscure Pleistocene animals like macronaria. However I dropped it after the second one and was just insulted that the writers had to resort to dinosaurs for the third one because they couldn't bother looking up other Cenozoic animals. Why is this franchise still a thing?

I watched the forth one on the plane because on a 19 hour trip you get absolutely desperate for distraction. I honestly can't say I remember a single thing about the plot or characters except there was a girl sabertooth, which tells you something.
